Mandaitivu is an island off the coast of the Jaffna peninsula in northern Sri Lanka, located approximately 3 kilometers south of the city of Jaffna. The island has an area of 7.56 square kilometers and is divided into three village officer divisions where the combined population was 1,524 according to the 2012 census. It was one of the famous tourist destinations in the Jaffna peninsula but due the continuous raining and floods, place is not in use now. Main objective of the project was to clean up the boats and inspire the people to start fishing. Then with the help of the villagers and other club members we cleaned the boats and gave necessary information to the villagers about cleaning process and inspire them to restart the tourism.
